Just baught my first bass boat. I went fishing this morning and caught a few very small fish on a rooster tail. Do you all have any advice on lures to use or tips. I need all the help I can get. I know i shouldnt try it during the day and i know to fish deep. I live in Kentucky and where i fish the water temp is around 79. Clear water. Around 10-12 feet of visibility.Just graduated high school and am getting into college and I need something to do Â*in my little town. (One Lake). Thanks.

Congrats on the boat!
Need a little more info-what kind of cover is in the lake-weeds, rocks, flooded timber, etc.-that is a good starting point. |

Texas rigs, tubes, tiki stiks, and jigs in shallow cover. Carolina rigs, deep running crankbaits, and jigs on deep drop offs.

Thanks guys. Ive noticed that there are a lot of fallen timber from the banks that run into the water. What should I throw in those areas.

Hey man,
Welcome Aboard! I would use a floating Tiki Stick or a Texas rigged purple zoom worm. Good luck! Enjoy that boat! |

Yes those are usually referred to as laydowns. Where the tree is partially in the water, and partially out of the water. Those are great places to fish, but everyone else will fish them also ![]() ![]() ![]() Lizards |
