cullin system
we have all seen differant types of these but the principal is the same. basicly you have a float of some kind attached to a steel cable or nylon rope. with an attachment on the end. some are a griper type hook others look like the old steel stringer hooks both are good. in the new boats with the larger livewell capacity. digging a livly fish out of the live well is a soggy task at best. i recently have bought a set of these and have found that even the friskist fish. are easy to remove. just latch on to the float and haul them out head first. no chasing around in the live well for a fish that is in 30+gallons of water. which is a plus and a half if the water temps are in the near freezing area.

Re: cullin system
Yup zook yer on to it!
iN the olden days everyone was satisfied with putting a wire diaper pin in thier fishes mouth plus having the same idea to hang your fish on a "even steven" type balance rig, put one 12 incher on the right, one 12 incher on the left, see whos heavier. All that went to the weighside when digital scales came on the scene. If your ever in a tournie and the boat only has one live well, carry some colored diaper safety pins, put it through the bottom lip only,, looks like the punk kids with their lip piercing now. Plus as a added bonus, much easier to get out of the live well at weigh in...just grab a safety pin and jerk her out of thar! |

Zook,
Picked up some of those float things as well as a balance board a couple months ago. The floats definetely make it easier to retrieve fish from live wells. I hope that maybe some day I will get a chance to actually use my balance board. |

Re: cullin system
Its weird how fish turn on and off back and forth on colors to all day...
Today the fish in my pond at home were superactive till about 10:30 , then no sight of them anywhere, just like denny hitting the waters down the road from here, hot one minute and ice cold , I guess the bite is on here from pre dawn to about mid morning..at least thats the best comfort zone for a angler, and lets him / her stay out longer if conditions are "just right" |

JB,
Was that comment meant for another site ? This one was about the floats to get your fish out of the live well. |
