Drop shot rig.
Could this be used when the bite gets slow? I am curious, because a couple of weeks ago, i was fishing this lake and the fish were biting good on the speed worms and super flukes. The fish wanted a slow presentation. And then after a couple of hours of the fish biting good, they just turned off all of the sudden. I was just wondering if the drop shot might entice more bites in a situation like this. In case you need to know, the the water was 5 to 15 feet where they were biting and is full of timber both standing and fallen. Just curious. Thank you

Only one way to find out. Sounds like a good idea to me ;D. If you are in heavy cover though you might want to "bubba shot" it. A bubba shot is basically a drop shot on steroids. Instead of a spinning rod and a finesse or hand poured 4" bait use a heavier rod, heavier line and a bigger hook.

like the bubba rig! will give it a try.
the drop shot works good when you have a nice spot that you know holds a bass. With the rig staying longer it gives the bass more time to get tiged off. I normally add a rattle to my drop shot rig |

Re: Drop shot rig.
The dropshot is a technique where a small hook is tied with a palomar knot directly to the line and below the hook from 12 to 24 inches or more a sinker is attached. It's mainly used with small worms ie: finesse worms about 4 to 4 1/2 inches long or more
