You could always catch some on senko's,but if you gonna fish that thick stuff use a bps floating lizard,or a weedless frog.

Trap it's just been tough conditions, I struck out yesterday for 4 hours of fishing, not even a bite. The weather warms up, then turns cold 2 days before you get a chance to fish. Keep at it, just start deadsticking plastics, or PNJ's really slow. When the water temps start to get into the 50's the bite will start to pickup quite a bit. In the meantime, just enjoy fishing, and practice new techniques

I am assuming that the water temperature is still pretty cold, despite the few warm days. You might try a heavy weight on your favorite plastic to get in down into the nasty stuff. You can still fish the pads, but get the bait deeper into them.

Im like lizards,I took the day off work monday and fished all day,I caught one small pike for all my efforts but I sure honed my casting skills after a long winter.
The water temps here are still in the 40s and monday the wind was out of the SW at a steady 30mph and the high temp was 60.
It was still better than a good day at work.

Things will pick up soon just hang in there.

Yeah-fortunately it is supposed to come through on Thursday, so conditions will have a chance to settle down by Saturday.

It's going to snow saturday and sunday here. If they bite wednesday i might be forced to go thursday or friday in the rain. So far next week looks promising. Went up to my cabin Easter Sunday to check things out. It's up in north/west PA. There is still ice on the lake. Maybe in 2 or 3 weeks with warmer weather it'll be ready. If not my local pond is just as good.
