Default Plastics in the Summer?

Will soft plastic lures be more productive in spring, summer, or fall? I am fishing mostly small ponds and small lakes?

well cold water is better for plastic because the fish are just comin out of a slow period(winter), and are lookin for n easy meal such as a worm fallin in front of it. durin the summer when they are more active u can throw crankbaits and spinnners because the bass are will to give chase.

Me too, whenever the water is liquid, plastics work best for me.

Under 50 degrees use pork
Above that use plastics or pork
so pretty much most of the time around here after april its above 50 , however I choose rogues, then ratLtraps, and spinners before the crankbite bite comes on, then the plastics come into play, like they have here for last 3 weeks, water temp in 70ish range

I have had days when there is Ice on the water and if you throw a jig or worm you won't get crap but you can throw a crankbait in the winter and it will for me get me a couple reaction strikes.
