Local Tourny
Im fishing a local tourney tomorrow. Its a fairly small lake without much cover. Fishing there has been real finicky the last couple years. Im looking for some tips. The lake is deep at one end, 55 feet, and between 3-8 feet at the other end. water temps are 55 degrees at the shallower end and 50 degrees at the deeper end. The water is very clear right now but its supossed to rain this evening. Fished the shallow end yesturday for an hour or two and caught 2 on a senko and 1 on a buzzbait, no keeper sizes.
What are some good lure choices for this water temp and clarity?? the lake is in central Illinois. |

Try and fish some "twitch" baits. I.E. Pointers, no cover should be good. Thats what I would do. (but who cares what I would do)

Re: Local Tourny
slow roll a spinnerbait around points and drop-offs. also, you might try a suspending jekbait. good luck.
