Snakes are just a nickname for 10-12 inch worms with realy long curl tails.

Bass eat more snakes than what you would normally think. You can make your own.......take a zoom finesse worm for example.....on the front end after trimming a quarter inch or less off, weld on a lizard head using a candle flame to heat both the lizard head and the worm end at the same time.......then nip a bit off the back end of the worm and weld on the tail from the lizard. Colors don't have to match, but it seems good to match the head and tail colors. Had a big tail slap and hit on the snake I made with a cherry seed head and tail welded onto a grasshopper colored finesse worm just last week. Wife and I caught 4 bass on snakes a day later. We fished them weightless and let them sink slowly at times, then crimped a splitshot on the bottom of the hook and caught a couple more.
