I use a 6.6 for twitch baits, a 7.0 for anything else not including flipping/pitching, in which I use a 7.6.
Most rods are different in there actions.

6'6" MH for everything except PNJ and C-RIG where I use a 7' Heavy rod, or topwater and crankbaits I prefer a 6'6" Medium action rod. I use soft plastics more than anything else, and a 6'6" MH rod is hard to beat for soft plastics. I can't answer the question when it comes to s Flippin/Pitchin Rod since I don't own one, and probaly never will

6' 6" for everything except for flippin'/pitchin', topwater slop, carolina rig and buzzbait. Those I use 7' rods for. I then match the action in each length with the application I use it for. I do also sometimes use a 7' rod for throwing cranks (depends on the weight of the lure).

My MH rodis really heavy for a MH rod so I can get away with carolina rigging or flipping and pitching with it. Just cause one rod is ideal for a situation doesn't mean thats the only one you can use.

Nobass,
Don't get hung up on the length/action. I tried to "go with the flow" in the length/action of rods as everyone else does. What I found is that I end up picking up one of my 6'6" MH for most applications - cranks/spinnerbaits/topwater/soft plastic. There are some exceptions. Sounds like you purchased 3 different rods. I am guessing that you are going to find that you don't like 1 or 2 of them for their intended application. Play around with them, you'll find what works for you. There isn't a right or wrong answer - unless you are going to throw a 3/4 oz spinnerbait on a 5 ft. light action spinning rod with 4 lb test. ;D
