what ??? are the trees in the water, or hitting the water in anyway? anyways the spawn is actually pretty easy r=to catch fish, you have to set the hook fast tho, no waitin around. go with big worms, redshad color and let them sit on the bed, or slowly reel a spinnerbait over the bed, or a buzzbait slowly over the bed. good luck.

I would throw a black jig with a yum craw trailer or a big single colorado blade spinnerbait

Ya ever come up short on ideas during spawn, try this, a soft plastic jerk bait or floating worm, not many people have the patience to throw it and it can hover over the bed just to annoy the fish, but remember they will pick it up to move it, not take it so set the hook fast then cross her eyes.... if any of you lures work during spawn, take note if the fish is small in nature, lets say 12-14 it could very well be a male guarding the nest, the bigger female is sure to be close..my second choice would be the jig and unkie josh trailer like previously stated...

If the water is stained and the fish are nesting it may be hard to see the beds. I would throw a floating worm to cover alot more places. Now if the water is clear enough to see the beds i would try a white lizzard. Bedding fish dont like lizzards and the white will help you see your bait if it moves.
