get a piece of moss, and attach it to a very small hook, set a bobber about 2 inches from the hook, and once the carp sees it, bam u got a fighter!

well i live in iowa and in my old farm pond their were 2 grass carps that weighted around 50-60 pounds and ive decided that the best way to catch them is snaggin

For all you who are talking like the grass carp is similar to the nasty carp I think you are mistaking. I haven't read all the way down yet but it seems the only one of you who now anything is the guy who suggested the bow.

Dude, you are not going to catch a grass carp unless you snag it. They don't harm fisheries because they don't spawn. They are garbadge fish used for cleaning or somthing. I own a cabin on a old mining pit where the water is 60 feet deep five feet off the shore and there are two huge grass carp in there. I would guess in excess of 40 lbs maybe even 60. They don't even spook.

jeff k, people catch carp all the time with corn and other small natural baits.
