I have never tried a Shimano coralis, but have had shimano reels before and i think they make good quality reels.

I bought it today and went out to a local gravel pond, and i was amazed, its one of the best reels I have ever used, it was so smooth and very rarely did it try to backlash!

Wait until you upgrade to the Curado, Citica, Castaic, and Calais. Those reels will cast a country mile, and you wanna talk about smooth. Hope you enjoy your new reel.

I just bought a new Pinnacle ProX Series. Used it last night during a trip caught 11 fish on it, backlashed a couple times due to not being tuned or broken in correctly :. But the thing was a monster when it came to casting. I have recently bought a number of Pinnacle reels (Extant, Pro Series 100 & 200, Pro X Series) and use them in both fresh and saltwater applications and have had nothing but good things to say about these reels. 8)
