Anyone tried the new Zoom Horny Toad hooks?

I saw them for the first time the other day. They are a big EWG hook with a corkscrew shaped wire attached to the eye you screw into the bait. They come in both bronze and red. Been debating trying them and wondered if anyone has tried them.

well, horny toads are my go to boat where do i buy them. right now i use a gamahaksu 4/0.

reb, i have tried these baits.......i caught a few using them on mats. i used a 3/o ewg hook......worked well.

I just use a 5/0 EWG gamakatsu hook, works fine. I'm not going to bother to spend extra money on something that doesn't really make a differnece.

you can buy the corkscrew clips from BPS that clip onto any hook you want to use. Why spend the money for another type of hooks when you can just buy the clips.

They are called "CLIP ON TYPE CORKSCREW THINGIES"!!!

Actually they are called "Hitchhiker Trailers" and can be found on page #223 of the latest BPS 2005 anglers catalog, Medium #28-453-420-00, $4.19 per 27 pack Large #28-453-420-01, $4.19 per 24 pack.

I will forward my finders fee bill the first of the month.
