To all the new folks joining the forum
First, welcome! Glad you joined us.
Now a request: Most of the old timers have done this and it makes the forum more enjoyable. In your profile you can add a signature. If you would, add where you are located since there is no listing for your location. Not only does that give us a reference, you never know-you might find a new fishin' buddy you never knew living just down the road! Thanks! |

Re: To all the new folks joining the forum
Akron? No wonder you won't be fishing for a while-I imagine the water is still hard where you are. Well, pull up a chair and set a spell-might as well talk fishing if you can't go fishing!

Â* Now lets talk lake Okeechobee. Â*I can't really help you much, since I won't be there till the end of april. Â*But if it's in the budget I would definately hire a guide, it's huge. Â*Also average depth I'm told is about 10 feet, so not a deep place either, but the HAWGS are in there. Â*Give us a rundown when you get back. Â*I'm hiring a guide for 1 day, and then going out on our own(dad, brother and me) Â*I'm told the baits of choice are Shiners first and foremost :P Â*And then Big worms, and magnum(8" lizards. Â* Since you'll be down there during part of the spawn, I would take some White baits(lizards/tubes/brush hogs) if you plan on sight fishing. Â*And definately use lures that imitate the shiners, such as flukes. Â*Again welcome, and leave one of the 10 lber's for me will ya Â* PS read Reb's post again(the very first one), and put your place of origin in your signature box. Â*It really is helpful. Lizards |

i feel if someone can't take a couple of minutes to fill out a profile, then they aren't really serious about becoming a member of this site.in which case,i probably will not respond to their posts.other than to give 'em a hard time.if they can't be serious neither can i.. :-X

Re: To all the new folks joining the forum
Good Idea to have people put where they are from. I just figured out how to put my hometown on here. If I could only figure out how to put a picture on here, I would show you my first catch of the season.
