well on my vacation back to the states im gonna make a 3 day trip down to destin fl. to meet some friends...i was hopin to get in on some of this florida fishin i keep hearing about...so could ya tell me is there any good fishin around these parts...if so any tips u could give me would be great.....i would prefer bass fishin but i can live with a lil off shore fishin too.....thx and tight lines to all....

Sorry, not to knowledgeable on N Fl. If you go to MYFWC.com and check the N Fl fishing it will give you all the lakes,streams,ETC. in the area and what they are populated with. Hope that will give a little help. 8)

About all I can tell you is that when people talk about the greatness of florida fishing, they normally do not mean Destin and they normally do not mean in winter. Its almost as far north in Florida as you can get, up in the panhandle.

Most of us dont even claim anything North of Gainesville. Especially in the panhandle. 8)

thats right fireman, anyways i cant help to much about the area of destin but there are alot of lakes in the area. do what hula said that should give u a good idea of the area

Ocala and Gainsville have more lakes and rivers than u can shake a stick at.purple is the best color,black too. there are many guides in the area.if you get a chance check it out.beautiful!

Not picking on ocala and Gator country. Just everything North of there. I fish in Gainesville pretty regularly. 8)

im from mn. i dont know florida very well. but i do know that you guys got some nice bass down there.

I live about a half/hour from destin and there aren't many lakes around here to bass fish. If you have a boat look up hurricane or bear lake in the blackwater state forest near crestview, other wise if you need a guide the closest bass fishing is Seminole North of Tallahassee or Lake Talquin south of Tallahassee. I have heard that if you golf on one of the courses out there that they allow you to fish the lakes on the course but I dont know for sure. Fish should start spawning soon with this warm weather coming and its about that time of year.
