Default Almost bass fishing

Ok, it's not about bass fishing. Â*It's pretty darn close. Â*

Anybody else ever watch ESPN's coverage of the Oberto Redfish Tournaments?

Man that looks like FUN! Â*The water they fish looks just like a lot of the tidal rivers I fish, the tackle is almost the same as bass fishing stuff if it's not the same. Â*(Might be a little heavier) The boat are almost the same as a bass boat. Â*Heck they even wear the same cool shirts and hats. Â*

But the fish are bigger. Â*WOOOO HOOOOOOO....

I could learn to like that stuff.

And seriously, I think the TV coverage is the best I have ever seen of any fishing event. If you've never seen it, check it out.

Yeah i'm watching it right now. It looks really fun. I'm taking my new boat down to florida in march and I will trying fishing for all different types of fish. I might even go a few miles offshore and fish out there. My friend took me 35 miles out one time and the fishing was great.

Hey Cajun
You could probably come down here and try your luck in Lynnhaven or Rudee Inlet. We catch them in the surf, and they also catch them in the inlets along with speckled trout..There's also the Hot Ditch, where theyre always catching something big there.Heck,it's all just a day trip for you!!!

I figured those thing had to be down around the bay there somewhere SB. I know we used to catch Puppy Drum down there. I thought a Redfish was what my granddaddy used to call a Channel Bass.

We have pretty decent spot tail bass ( that is what we call them) fishing here on the east coast. We fish out of the Juliten river and sapelo sound. Never tried it with artificial bait though.
