Bad Dog!!!
My Labs chewed the seats out of my stratos 284, now the upholstery shop says it could cost up to 400 bucks to recover them! Does anyone know where to buy aftermarket seats, all I can find are for pontoons and offshore, no bass boat seats. Help!!!!

Re: Bad Dog!!!
yes that is true, however Bass pro does not carry a decent bucket style seat for this application and I am a bit hesitant toput "cheap" seat in a 25,000 dollar tourney rig.

Re: Bad Dog!!!
on a 25k bass rig,i wouldn't hesitate to spend $400 on seats.that sounds reasonable.
i'd also shoot that dog. |

Re: Bad Dog!!!
Many times the mfg sells some parts/accessories direct. If you haven't checked their web site I would. Also I know for a fact that any decent upholsterer can do it, it doesn't have to be a MARINE place to have it redone. Call in the yellow pages under furniture upholstery and see if they don't have a little better pricing.

Re: Bad Dog!!!
i have said this before a lab reguardless of color think they are part goat. and will chew on anything and every thing reguardless of taste. it is one of the hidden traits to them. kinda like ya can take a lab to water but you can't keep him out of it. i would check with the dealer as lizard said but they are very pricy $350-400 would be about right-stratos bike seat cost $150-

Re: Bad Dog!!!
WMABIN,
Actually, $400 does not sound that bad for re-upholstering your boat seat if it is a bench type. I poked a hole in the center cushion insert on my Ranger and it was $70.00 to get re-done. I talked to them about doing the whole seat in a different color (White is hell to keep clean) and they advised it would cost over $1000 to upholster the whole seat. JackL |

Re: Bad Dog!!!
I picked up a couple of new seats off Ebay last year. They have alot of leftovers there at times. Just a thought.

Re: Bad Dog!!!
Alright, Seat problem fixed! Several upholsters sad it could not be done due to the type seat. I have dropped 500.00 on 2005 factory seats from Stratos, well guess the ride will be good! Thanks to all for the suggestions, go to classifieds section to get price for dogs, Just kidding. I could never give them up.
