Default New to south fL(well FL)

wanted to know if any1 knew any good ponds, lakes, rivers, ect. Let me kon pLease!!!! NEED TO CATCH BASS

not sure where port charrlotte is...but anywhere near miami? fish the canals.....near the kissimmeee chain? fish it. actually....where is port charlotte? where in florida? i live in winter park.....near orlando.....where is it related to there?

Im about 1hr south of Tampa, YOu didnt hear of Port Charlotte, any from last years hurricane charley? >!! We got OWNED!! BUt yeah im bout 1 hr 30. from Oche. and 2 1/2 or 3 from maimi, i dont wanna travel too far but will if it means excellent fishing.

so you are on the gulf side. im not to sure about areas over there.......but i do know that there is great saltwater fishin in that area...not sure if that is what your lookin for tho :-/ ''O'' is not a good choice....the 'canes screwed it up way to much to think about fishin it :P get a map of your area and look at all the lakes around there...im sure there are plenty of ponds to fish...and check the golf coarses out to....just make sure to either ask for permission or not get in anyones way and make yourself very unnoticable....around here the golfers talk to me about fishin...so its not a problem here...i dont know about there...if you ever make your way to miami.....fish the canals for peacock bass.... 8)

Thanx alot yeah suprisingly there isnt alot of good canals here, they are brackish but you might as well call them g a r b a g e lol, yeah i wanna go to mami and fish for some pee's!!!

I'd head south and east a till you find some backwater canals. Some of the highest catch rates in the country are in the canals in the everglades. Hope to take a week or 2 long camping trip down there isolated from the rest of the world sometime in the fall when the temps go down a little.
