Matt, unfortunately there ain't no such animal. Your best bet is to continue to develop different techniques, learn all you can and spend as much time on the water as possible.

upper penninsula? like in florida? this ? has been answered before, alot. first sign up and join, its free. then do a search at the top of the page for it. to answer your ? tho, there is no ''best bait'' for bass fishing. there is a ''best'' bait for each situation tho. im sure all of us would like to be a pro some day, fact is its probally not gunna happen.

Re: what the best in fishing
i just looked at some more posts, and saw the same ? here asked in them. please only post the ? once in one thread. there is no need to post it everywhere, that is a good way of not getting an answer.

I actually prefer the gold plated whiz bang w/ pink and green feather tail. Seems to draw strikes from everywhere. 8)

Re: what the best in fishing
bassfisher,
the UP is the peninsula of michigan sticking out from N wisconsin. There are a number of good lurese for the summer there. The bass' major forages there are perch and trout I'd go with a couple different lures. Blue fox makes a number of good spinners. check out #10 on this chart, it looks fairly similar to a brown trout. Rapa;e also makes a number of good jerkbaits and cranks that closely match the forage fish up there. Those are just basic things that you should bring with you. Undoubtedly, using these you'll also catch some pike, walleye, and possibly some trout. The main thing you've got to remember with the superclear water up there, is to have your lures be lifelike. |

Re: what the best in fishing
Matt, follow Hula's advice. You are young, try different lures and methods until you find out what works best for you and what you have confidence in. It shouldn't take you more then 5 or 6 years. Then you will be ready for the pro's.

Re: what the best in fishing
Matt,
Just keep learning as all of the guys have said. Do not be afraid to try something new when fish are not bitting. You can change size, color and your presentation but above all be patient. If you get impatient it will just cause you not to try diffrent things and will cause you to miss fish that can be caught. Good luck Chad |
