He's talking about the old OMC trolling motors, which in the opinion of many, including me, were the best trolling motors ever made. They were sold under both Evinrude, and Johnson names, and toward the end just as OMC.

Might have to call them. I had a Johnson TM on my boat. Snapped the control cable- small spindle type wires. The main wire is still solid, the small ones seem to control the suttle movements of the TM. 8)

OMC has been out of business for 5 years or more. About the only chance you'll have of finding parts is to do an internet search and see what you can find.

I had a Johnson TM for 5 years .I traded for it used.It was a kick butt TM.Really sturdy and powerful.Things started breaking down and I couldn't find parts to fix it.It started with the switch(which I rigged to work)and it was all downhill from there.Couldn't find parts.Still have it .If someone needs parts off of it ,I could probably let you have it for peanuts.

The guts in a johnson trol motor are from Minn Kota. You shouldn't have any trouble finding parts.
