Buying a New boat.

What would you guys recommend for starting out.
Don't have a lot of cash. Would you recommend getting a used John boat Since I fish mainly small lakes.

A jon boat sounds good for you if you are short on cash and fish small lakes.

Around what size cuz im in the same boat as him? The lake that i wanna fish on is around 75 acres and has a lot of shore line! Ive only fished it from shore! But Hula says its really good in a boat so im looking for one to use!

Chris do you think fishing from the bank helps you in anyway. I think it helps me to slow down and fish better but i am limited to where i can fish

I dunno im limited to the bank too and since im in florida the weeds and cypress trees are bad so i can only fish like two spots and thats not where the cover is!!! :'( So i wanna get sometype of boat hopefully a jon so i can go fish the cover on this pond/lake

for small lakes and ponds....i would get something like a 12' jon boat. i fish from shore too, and alot of lakes arnt accessible by the shore...so i too need a boat......but right now i just go out in my stepdads boat when we go fishin...but i want my own since alot of times he goes for other fish, and doesnt go to good bass lakes :-/ but sometimes he does so for now its ok...but i would get a 12' jon boat....and dont forget the PFD's

Already got PFD's i dunno why we have them but we do!! Anyone of them thats rated as a life saving device is okay right???? Or do i have to buy one of those fancy vest ones???????????

you dont need to buy the fancy shmancy ones...as long as it keeps you afloat...i think they have to be vests tho....im not sure.

I have the orange ones that you strap around you and it goes around the back of you neck to keep just ur head out of the water!
