Default new to the boards and not a senko post

first id like to say thanks on the night fishing tips.

topwater, like most of you said had great results for me tonite

a 5 pound bass 2 pound bass and a 1 pounder. which is excellent for the lake i was at in jersey.

however i havent seen too many peopple mention zara spooks on here.

i caught the fish on a black and white zara spook. and i seem to have consistent hits whenever i use it, compared to other colors at any time of day.

but they are tough to unhook a fish with those huge treble hooks, i catch and release so having to struggle to get the hooks off and not hook myself makes it a little stressful for me and the fish.

but yeah senkos are great too even though i said it wasnt a senkos post

zara spooks are pretty much everywhere their made by heddon

the old lures are considered collector items

thanks for telling me if the pic worked or not .

im surprised that you havent had much luck with them bassfishero2. pickeral and bass love it especially as the sun is going down.

ive never used them in salt water though ill have to give it a try.

i guess i dont give it a fair chance in fresh water....in salt water its the first bait tied on in the mournins and evenings....they tear trout up.....and do good with redfish 8)

I was commenting to denny just the other day about how good that color combination is around here.
I think they used to slay the bass at the gravel pits
with that black/white stripe on crankbaits...
I used to have a heddon torpedo with that but lost it in the lily pad fields of Indian Lake in Ohio

Spooks are great baits, no question. I like chrome/black back or bullfrog colors. They just don't have to popularity of a Pop-R or Torpedo, and it takes a little practice to learn to fish it right.
