well there are several ways to use both. Lets start with the jig you can pitch and flip it under boat docks and around wood cover like standing timber and lay downs. Those are the best methods. The ratltrap you can just cast and reel or try throwing some jerks in or you can lay it down on the Â*batom and give it a hard jerk upwards for a reaction strike. there are only a few ways to use both but there are many more that you can try just experement and let the fish tell you what they like.

well i hope this helps

what Lizards said, and also i went as far as to print out all the articles, just the basic ones, not all the advanced tips. example- Spinnerbait basics, anyways they make for good reading.

basically, you want to use jigs around docks, timber, or any wood structure. they can also be used around dropoffs. you can use them anywhere but places mentioned are better. the best way to use one, in my experience, is to hit the structure and let the jig fall. alot of strikes come on the fall, so be ready. then when it hits the bottom, twitch it. keep doing so untill retrieve. and change it up abit. hard twitches, soft twiches, things like that. they also now have swimming jigs, used for swimmig a jig, go figure. thats about all i know. the jig is not my specialty hope it helps

You didn't look hard enough. There is a search place on the first page after getting in. Here's a link to what it gave when I did "jig and pig" Which is what most folks refer to it as, or a Pig and Jig.

Jigs I think they have you covered-for a real simple explanation if you fish a Texas rig worm fish the jig-n-pig in the same manner and in the same places. Â*I throw a jig around timber more than I do a worm, and use a worm more in the weeds. Â*Rat-L-Trap? Chunk and wind-simple bait to use. Â*Idiot bait as Zooker calls it. Â*Work the edges of weedlines, around flooded timber, etc. Â*If you can let the trap drop into the weeds and rip it free you can get some real bone-jarring strikes.

hey i use jigs all the time i use a pork and jig and all u do is let it touch the bottom. and u have to have thline tight cause if u have slack u wont know if u have a bite it its tight and u must have ur pole up all times and move slowly on the bottom. and flip it where theres cover and stuff if u feel a tap u better yank it hard to set the hook and rattle trap is just throw it out where ever u want to and retrive it nice and slow know and then when it gets warmer out do it fast and listen im good withjigs i catch fish with jigs all the time and every time i use them

My pig & jig technique is simple, let'er sit for a moment, a couple of twitches and a few small lifts of the rod tip and let her sit again. Like its already been said....keep your line tight.
