Lp Abu Garcia ambasseder
what is ur opinin if any on the new 2004lp ambaseder made by Abu Garcia
it looks great and the price is good please if u have any opinion about this reel please reply! |

I havent seen that reel before.
Generally I like Abu Garcia reels, most of my reels are made by them. What are you looking for in a baitcaster? Garcia makes other low profile reels, like the Torno and the 1000 something lp, which normally retails for around 50 bucks at walmart. |

Well, since I havent used it about all I can say is be careful buying something just because it looks good. I like to hold a reel in my hand before I buy it. For topwaters I use my Garcia Morrums, but I prefer round reels.

i have a couple ambassadors i would go with the the 4007lp it has 7 bearings over the 2005lp with just 5. yeah i know there is a price differance. i still rather have a smoother reel.
i use a torno at times but really prefure mag gear by quantum. zooker

This reel is suposed to be great for flipping when reading the ad, but it has a graphite frame.An old Abu has three bearings in them with a steel or aluminum frame, This one has more bearings but is it because the frame flexes and the reel will lock up if it only had three bearings like the original reels have ?I can tell you from experience that all bearings are not created equal, good grade bearings wwould cost alot more for all of the bearings that are in this reel than the whole reel cost. Its just something to consider, bass pro shop has a return policy, return it within so many days for your money back minus the shipping of course. P N J
