Favorite Structure/Technique
Let me explain....
If you could only fish one area, for about thiry minutes, what would it be? What would you use? What time would you prefer to fish it? My all-time favorite spot would have to be long, sloping points fished with a big spinnerbait slow-rolled. I love to fish these late in the year when bass start to move deep or early in the spring when fish prepare to seek out beds. What would you choose? -Buzz |

Hard choice! It's gotta' be a tie between laydowns and riprap. Jigs for the laydowns and cranks for the riprap.

Not an easy question to answer for sure. I really like a couple different situations. I think my favorite would be the late spring early summer period fishing crankbaits in mid depth areas such as submerged weedbeds, the ends of points and so on where bass often stage at that time of year. My close second choice would be working a spinnerbait around grass and other shallow cover on overcast days from late spring to fall.

same here, rip rap with timbers, maybe a steep drop nearby, with blade on the bank in the summer, jerkbaits in cooler water, tubes anytime

Middle of summer. Fog and haze lifting off the water. Tons of pads spread out everywhere. A horny toad speeding to a sudden landing in the middle of the pads. The retrieve suddenly stopped by the crashing of a toad exploding. A topwater wet dream.

Very poetic, Bob...Sounds like one of those old Miller Lite commercials. Some good ol' boys out on a trout river up in the mountains, come back to camp at night, grill up some steaks on the campfire, pop open a cold one..."Guys, it just doesn't get any better than this." As far as my favorite style of fishing, how about a senko or jig here: http://www.mdwfp.com/forums/topic.as...alling,panther |

My favorite "Structure" would have to be humps or ridges, my favorite "cover" would have to be wooden boat docks (located near creek channels and notebly deeper water).

a rock pile on a pea gravel point........a jig and a crankbait that gets deep enough to hit the rock pile.

Ditto C-Rig's reply with the addition of a Carolina rigged centipede. Early spring, early/mid morning.
