Welcome to the forum!

I take from your handle you are a fellow Texan-always glad to see anoher one on the board.

In clear water I like either 1/4 or 3/8 oz. white or shad color with double willow blades in extremely clear water and a tandem setup-a willow leaf blade benind a Colorado(tear drop shape) smaller blade in more dingy water.

Brand doesn't really matter to me. I use Strike King, War Eagle, and even no-name Walmart specials.

Retrieves-I run the water colum. Slow rolling it is retrieving it just fast enough to keep the blades turning which keeps it close to the bottom, but my favorite is to burn it back creating a bulging wake on the surface. The best thing to do is to vary your retrieve and let the fish tell you how fast to bring it in.

hello, and welcome to the forum. As far as clear water and spinnerbaits go, well, I love it actually. I will always go with willow leaf blades, in shallow water I will go with a double blade setup, in deeper water I will opt for the single blade bait. As far as color goes, I will always stick with basics, white, chartruese, or a mixture of the two. If the water is warm, and I am fishing shallow, and the fish are active, I will burn the bait back, reeling it very fast, and making the retrieve as erradic as I can. I don't want the fish to get a good look at that bait. The cooler the water, or the more inactive the fish are, the slower I will go. good fishing
