Too Cold to Throw a Buzzbait?
Is it too cold to start throwing a buzzbait in northern ohio yet?

should be warm enough, we're throwing them in Wisconsin. You can start throwing them once the water temp hits 60-65 degrees, but they really come to life in 70+.

I'll jump in here and have a go at it. The main thing you need to worry about is water conditions your looking for more calmer water to use a buzz bait to catch attention.
Also when you see the bugs ,or bass top water feeding is the best time to fish them. Follow the bug season sounds weird but find when big bugs are active and when they first come out I.E. Dragon flys .did you know that most bugs have to dry off their wings before they can fly? and where are most bugs borne? WATER that's where, so they sit on lilly pads or right on the waters surface to get ready to fly. And MR Bass knows this, so keep that in mind next time you think of top water! Robby. |

Buzzbaits are killers when its snowing. Theres no rules in bass fishing.
