Default worms or lizards?

Does it really make a difference if you use a worm or a lizard? All the difference is the little legs, so does that really make a big difference? ???
Thanks guys.

the only difference is that the speckles on the chair of the lizard remains a mysetery to the worm on how it works it's magic. So whenever u fish with braid, make sure the worm is higher than the usual level of oxygen in the water.

I am not sure who had the higher level of high. I wouldn't have known that but he misspelled the word mystery. The speckles weren't on the chair of the lizard, the speckles were on the hair of the lizard.Lizards with dandruff or possibly lice is not very good bait. I think you should stick with the Yamamoto 5" cut tail worm in the color smoke /no flake.Smoked worms with no flakes will out fish dandruff ridden lizards unless the speckles on the lizard were actually salt crystals instead of flakes. Then I would withdraw the first conclusion and reinstate the lizard as the best bait. I am seeing the big picture now. Thank you for the lesson, I couldn't see it on my own until it became so clear to me by the misspelled words Bassmaster1, I am one with the bait now for I am on my own with no smoke in my eyes or flakes in my hair.I never pee in the wind for fear of the salty taste in the air ? ??? : ;D P N J

I'm going to sleep better tonight knowing that ;D

Lizards vs worms-I like a lizard on a C-rig more than on a T-rig, but not exclusively. I usually throw a T-rigged lizard in shallower water than a T-rigged worm, but for no particular reason-just the way I have always done it.

It all depends on if you're fishing northern waters or southern waters. In the south do as the southerns do as to when it is better to go wormin or using a lizard. Now in the north it is a total different story. Better to use what is prevalent as by the way of the bass's choice. But in both waters as for a bass's choice the worm is a foriegn food. Now it seems to me that as a bass can choose either it is not to say he is prejudiced against either one. So weither one or the other is a better choice can only be determined by the bass himself.

I find it as simple as:

1. Worms tend to work better in a situation that calls for slow presentation (moving through dense weeds past a big log where you saw a bass)

2. Lizards tend to work better in a situation that calls for a slightly faster presentation (searching along the weedline)

Both are still worked fairly slow, but I'm talking about a light jig vs. a slow, constant reel along the bottom. Hope that helps a bit.

I make my own rigs, with worms and lizards. I like the worms near where rivers come into the lake. Or when runoff creates a dark patch on the lake. I also use them weedless around standing cover. I also like to bounce them off a hugh rock at the end of one lake I fish, the birds use this rock as a fast food place and there are always fish, hanging out under it. When the worms come off the rock they get nailed just as they hit the water.
I like the lizards, rigged weedless. I dump them into the pads and just crawl and swim them back to shore.
I have also had good luck with 12in. white worms, straight tail, rigged weedless, no weight. Pulled through the pads and weeds. Fish this slowly, like a big old snake, who thinks he owns the lake. >
This now becomes a battle of attitudes: Bass v Snake. >
Bass takes snake, I take bass.
Now I got the attitude :-*

Don't worry about that, I for one won't take anything you say seriously. I've got better things to do, than to read someone who is messing around at school. Plus someone who obviously trying to make a statement with the name they chose to log on the site with. I come here to talk bassin, and joke once in awhile. I'm way to old to play your games. This will be the last time I respond to any post you make.
