Flippin,
I am not sure but you could always send them an e-mail and ask them, I'm sure they would probably be more than happy to provide you with the info. if they think it will result in a sale. It never hurts to ask, the worst that will happen is that they do not respond . Kybasser |

Re: Who make's them???
I know That alot of them are made by Pinnacle reel company.I am not sure if the new ones are or not, The new bass pro shop reel I tore apart had the same type of pinion engagement system as the shimano curado's.The new brake sytem is kind of neat, the faster the spool turns , the closer the spool moves to the magnetic plate. There is a spring in control of the movement , curious to see how the spring holds up after a ton of use. P N J

Re: Who make's them???
I'm not sure who makes them. At one time or another I suspect they've been made by different companies. BPS, Cabela's etc, put up a call for a bid. (We need X number of reels built to Y specification) , and different companies bid on that contract. Generally speaking, the deal goes to the lowest bidder. That's not a bad thing, it's just the way business works.

Re: Who make's them???
Pfleuger makes the BassPro reels. I called Bass Pro to ask them a question about the reel and they told me to call Pfleuger because they make all the Bass Pro reels. Sure enough, Pfleuger knew the answers. I do not know about Cabela's though.
Catch em up Brian P.S. Bass Pro reels are pretty nice 8) |
