DO the new owners know you? If not you could just ask politely and they may let you fish it.

if ya can weasel in to fishing it let me know i have been banned from there. zooker [/quote] Dang about time the wised up to ya Just kidding of course, sorry to hear you can't fish there anymore. Unfortunately, there are tons and tons of places, just like that, that will never get fished Or someone has to have it all to themselves, but if they pay for it, they can do what they want. Hope you can find another one better than that. I do understand why landowners do this, I can even give you a example that happened this year. My brother in-laws girlfriend rented a house in the sticks with her brother and friends which had about a 1 acre pond on it. They were told they could fish, swim whatever, but please don't keep any fish. And of course what do they do, they say to hell with that and keep a bunch of fish from it. Now obviously they don't have a lot of ethics and can't understand why the landowner got ticked. Well needless to say they aren't living there any longer, and thank goodness, because they would have ruined the pond, and on top of that, were told not to hunt it(about 5 acres), and of course were already planning on shooting a deer anyway > Because of SOB's like that, I can't find a place to hunt, and I don't blame the landowners 1 bit. You have to respect others wishes, especially if they own the property. These are the same idiots, who probably would sue the landowner when they got drunk and fell out of a tree stand. Well enough of the soap box, lets get back to Bassin Lizards |

Well that sucks. Had a similar situation with a tank up outside of Ft. Worth. I know how you feel.

Re: dang i am bummed out
i always asked before fishing it. the owner told i could use my boat just not run the big moter -it has a cement launch-which i was ok with. i never kept a fish from it. though i have put a couple hundred shad in to the pond-live- i did not litter. there was only 3 of us that have pertmition to fish it ever. it is an open pond with 1 tree on it's bank, no bushes. the new owner does know my gold truck by sight only.he told old owner "tell the ******* with the gold truck not to fish here again" never spun doughnuts or any thing.
the new own is a sob period.-blanky blanking city slicker- zooker

Zooker,
I by no means meant to imply you did anything wrong if that's the impression I left. I was merely trying to point out why some people don't allow fishing or hunting from folks. Lizards |

Re: dang i am bummed out
I think you just finished what Tom was implying. That sucks, it happens down here a lot also. One private lake-sarcasm. The residents that lived around it dumped loads of dirt in front of the only ramp and would mess with your vehicle when parked there. The only good thing was the guy who instigated most of this sunk his truck in his backyard (5 feet underwater) tryin to pull his boat out. Wow is that what that ramp was for? 8)

Re: dang i am bummed out
I fish a pond that I have "the green light" to.
It's very restricted and not visible from the road. There once were some people that were allowed to fish it and stated that they wouldn't keep any fish , however the owner saw them keep a big string of bass one afternoon. They aren't allowed to fish there any more, as well as any body else. Man this is a great pond with some pretty good bass in it. Zook, wish I could tell you more but you understand. |
