kind-a depends on how much ya wanna spend, kind of pole you are useing. and type of top water but for both baitcasters and spinning i like something small for poppers 8-10lb trilene xl and cheap cabellas brand works good hear as well and 10-12lb trilene xl for buzz baits and big spooks due to weit of these lures .
I like a good stretch on top water due to your probable going to dea with and explosive fish on top water. Â*

Difficult question to answer. Guess it depends on what you want. Mono Floats as well as any line and the thicker/more pound test the line the better it floats. I would reccomend as high a test as 17lb for spooks and walkin type baits. And down to as low as 8lb depending on what you're fishing. Personally I use 12lb mono, but it's just the line I use for everything topwater.

Said it before, like twenty times this week, PowerPro. I use it for and it works for, anything you want to use it for.

Will these line questions ever cease?

Mono is Mono. But of those two I would definatly go with the Trilene.
