Re: bass eating baby basS?
Bass sure do eat their own. Many times, ironically, a male bass will eat bass fry when they hatch from the eggs he so carefully guarded on the spawning bed. So, probably the best time to use a baby bass color would be spring-time (spawn & post spawn).

When fishing for basss from different lakes, the coloring is different (lighter or darker) if you use a lure that matches the coloring of the bass in that particular lake you might do well. Not just bass, but crappie and perch as well.

Re: bass eating baby basS?
as for the dt series i have found that they all are fairly well tuned out of the box. are well built for long casting distance. i mainly use the dt 4's and 6's but have the others. please note a dt16 will wear you out if you throw it all day.
