Default snakes

There's an awesome bassin spot in my pond, but the only way to get there is through high grass, where I usually see snakes. I'm not a wimp, I just don't wanna get bit. Any suggestions?

im not worried about snakes, this coming from a guy living in florida. they are there, abnd unlesss you bother them you are ok. just watch where you walk, and DONT FORGET to look in the trees as well. as for whjat to do, just walk hard, like stomping the ground. and when crossong a downed tree, kick it first. also, when going thru high grass, use your rod handle ang swipe back and forth. i dont always do this, i mostly just kick trees when crossing, but if you are worried, that should keep you sake.

some snakes are very territorial tho, and it will take some watchin out for those because they wont move much. but a snake wont bite you just to bite you, they have to feel threatened are you have to mess with them to provoke a strike.

The snakes are more afraid of you then you are of them. Â*Just make a little bit of noise while going through and you'll have no problems. Â*PLus if its just about any snake thats not poisonous the bites don't really hurt at all ( I know from experience). BTW, its extremely hard to find poisonous snakes in tall grasses like you're talking about, maybe an Eastern diamondback, but that is very uncommon and you'll here the rattle before it does anything.

I walked through some snaky territory yesterday, decided just not to think much about them. Â*I was wearing waders so it was arguable how much venom a snake would have injected had it got me, and I'm in good health so it is also questionable that it would have killed me. Â*Finally, there was some unreal fishing on the other side of them woods and for all I could care those woods could have been infested with pregnant ebola carrying rabid grizzly bears and I would have still made it through them. Â*Ahhh youth. Â*

Lets see, if he lives in GA there should be the same ones as most of FL. There are definitely copperheads, water moccassins, eastern diamondbacks, pygmy rattlers, timber rattle snakes. And there might be coral snakes.

They do make good target practice.... Especialy coachwhips when they are in the middle of a feild and they are up off of the ground and looking around and you see its head sticking up. You can get yourself a rifle w/ a scope and shoot at it in the head. Their hard to hit but its fun.
