Default Cleaning wiring connections

OK I either have the cheapest connectors in the world(the one on my Blazer, and the one on my trailer) or they just constanly keep getting corrosion. How do you clean them good, and how do you keep the clean. I got a gun cleaning wire brush(trick I learned from the boat mechanic) for the female connectors, and use the same just at angles for the male connectors. But it seems like every time I go out, I have to mess with it again. Heck when I load from the water it works great it's all wet. Anyway any suggestions on a good connector or a better longer lasting way to clean them would be appreciated.
