Go with smaller blades and shad colors. The fish will be moving back into the backs of creeks chasing shad, so "match the hatch".

I'm guessing it is the blade on the swivel. Get a pair of pliers and crimp the loop tight up against the wire.

Ya'll have to try the screamin eagle spinnerbait made by wareagle. What is different about this lure from others it is a small profile bait but weighs more than it looks. What I am saying is it looks like a 1/4oz spinner but actually weighs 1/2oz to 3/4oz depending on which one you buy. he secret is the bulk of the head weight is under the skirt. Therefore you can burn this bait at high speeds or slow roll it in what any depth you want to. My favorite color in the fall is the blue glimmer and it just annialates the fish. You cant make this bait roll over you do have to tune it ocassionaly but worth it cause of the fish you catch.

what is a good speed and depth for the spinner? i use it in like 4 feet deep water and it works pretty well but this guy was going insane. it seemed every time he put it in the water he caught one.

That is good as a rule of thumb, but vary your retrieve and let the fish tell you how fast or slow they want it.
