Re: Is Carlye Lake any good
Heres todays fishing report
and heres the link http://www.carlylelake.com/Fishing/mamma.htm Here's what Mama says: Good Walleye/Sauger: The walleye and sauger fishing has picked up. The best area to fish for walleye is in the river between the dam and the suspension bridge. Curly tail jigs tipped with minnows is a good bait to use. Very Good Catfish: There are quite a few catfish being caught in the spillway on shad gut and cut shad. Good White Bass: The white bass fishing has been pretty good. The spillway is a real good place to fish for whites. Curly tail jigs, Lil' Georges and rooster tail spinners. Good Crappie: The crappie fishing has been getting better. They are in the lake about 5 feet deep. Minnows, the hand tied crappie jigs or tube jigs have been the best baits to use. People have reported catching a bunch of crappie under 10" to each one over 10" (the legal limit). Fair Bluegill: Bluegill are biting on wax worms. Good Carp, Buffalo & Drum: Fish for them in the spillway with night crawlers or dough baits. |
