Default trouble on presentation

hey guy's,
every time i use a plastic lizard or crawfish and i get it into some shallow water so i can see it, 99.9% of the time its laying on its side ( only when it' standing still) when i retrieve it, it seems to level out. but if its laying on its side in the shallow water im sure its laying on its side in the deeper water giving it an un-natraul look to the bait..am i over looking something or placing the hook wrong, this is when using a texas rig set-up by the way

That your bass hook and penetrate the lizards head about 1/4 inch and slide up to the eyelet, then
bury the barb in the underside of the lizard in the middle,
take some time and make sure its centered and I like to prepunch the hole with the hook and receed the barb back in the plastic to make it weedless..
hope that helps 8)

I think JB has it-sounds like the center of gravity is off. You may be using too large a hook-if that is the case try a smaller size and see what happens-on a 6 inch lizard I use a 1/0 or 2/0 hook.

When using a big hook, rig it through the side of the lizard so when the hook lays flat on the bottom ,the lizards is rightside up. P N J
