Canals
I was just wondering if some of you guys could throw your opinions in. I mostly fish the everglades on the canal system. I was wondering if any of the bass would relate to the middle of the canal or stay mostly along the sides and deep in the grass. Also what would some good approaches be to find the big ones.

Re: Canals
Right out in the middle? Maybe if there is some deeper grass, by which I mean hyrdilla. Mainly they need something to relate to to be out there in force. I normally do focus on the edges and sides, a lot of times the florida canals I fish would have kissimmee grass grow along the edges and I would flip that (btw, thanks to charlie the grass I used to flip is long gone)...
Its a precentages thing though, you are gonna have lone bass out in the deeper water, but they wont be concentrated like on the sides. Anything out in the middle or anything different in the canal like a turn or a narrowing will concentrate those bass. |

Re: Canals
If there is grass going down the edge of the canal, throw a spinnerbait parallel to the edge of the grass and hold on.
