Default Fish Finder

Does anyone can recommend a fairly good fish finder for about 150-180 dls?
I have a humminbird (one of the smallest) and it was a piece of.. it reads 20 Ft where I’m able to see the bottom at not more than 3 or 4 ft. :-/

So any help finding a better one will be welcome...

Default Re: Fish Finder

when you can see the bottom, and it reads deeper, alot of times the bottom is just mud. the depth finder is reading thru the mud untill it gets to a solid surface. so the bottom was probally just 20' of mud. so if that is just the problem, then go to an area you know has a hard bottom and see what it reads. if it reads right, then your depth finder is ok, and there is no need to buy another.
