whats the best???
well i was in alabama fishin on my facation and my foot controll trolin moter quit on me .... its kinda new i only had it 4 months ....whats the best kind of trolling motor is best and will last longer ??? ??? ??? pleas help

by naming this post as you did, you just lost about 2/3rds of this sites' members from even reading your post. word from the wise, dont use the word ''best'' in your post name. as you read around the board, you will see what i mean.

If it is only 4 months old it should still be under warranty. I'd check into that.
However: First check the circuit. There should be either a circuit breaker or an in-line fuse somewhere in the positive wire. I had the same thing happen a few weeks back. Turned out it was a blown fuse. I changed from a fuse to a circuit breaker since changing the fuse was such a pain the way mine was set up. |

is it a minkota. if so turn it over and check all the screws are tight where the wires connect. mine did it to me about two weeks ago. it took me and the mech about four hours to figure it out. every time we turn it over it work. the wires would make contact. when we set it upright it would not work. we knew it was getting power because the direction light would come on

it wasnt the screws. ithink ill just take it back and get a power guide .. i like them best anyway thanks for the suggestion anyway. |
