Indiana ponds
Went to two different ponds on Saturday. Started off at the National Conference Center for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Marshall, IN. They have about a 5 acre pond there that I fished with my buddy. I caught 6 LM on a black zoom lizard, biggest was probably 15-16", nothing to write home about.
We then went to a 3 acre farm pond and just hammered the blue gill and bass. We kept 25 hand sized bluegill and threw back another 20 of them all in less than 2 hours! I also caught about 15 LM, nothing bigger than 15". They would hit almost anything that we threw; plastic worms, rooster tails, poppers. We could see them come out from under the moss and attack the lure, they would come out two or three at a time and fight over who was going to eat it. Tons of fun! ;D |

Re: Indiana ponds
It was too hot to sit there in the sun and wait for the catfish while my buddies were hauling in the slab bluegill! The owner of the pond did have about a 10 lb catfish hooked until he grabbed the line to bring it in....snap!
