Re: Medium Baitcaster Rod
I'm partial to MH for spinnerbaits, but Medium for cranking.

What Bassguy said. A M action rod will work, but for spinnerbaits I prefer a MH action. However, you really can't beat a 6-6 M action rod for a crankbait.

I prefer a 6'6" M action rod for spinnerbaits, small cranks, flukes and senkos.

BEE,
I would have to go along with BOLTZIE if you are using spinnerbaits of 1/2 oz or less with small blades. When you get into the larger Colorado blades on s-baits you will probably need to use a little stiffer rod, like MH. JackL |

Re: Medium Baitcaster Rod
no in no way would i even use a medium rod for spinnerbait fishing regaurdless of lenth i would use a mh to a heavy rod 7 foot. a 6-6 is better for cranking or finesse worm rigging.

It's what I use. If you want a little more casting distance get a 7' rod, I just like the 6'6" myself. JackL has a good point about the bigger spinnerbaits 1/2 oz is about my max I like. Lizards |

Re: Medium Baitcaster Rod
Just to clarify my spinnerbait comment. I throw 3/8oz about 99% of the time. That's why I prefer the 6'6" M action rod for spinnerbaits.
