When putting line on the reel, flip the spool over several times while reeling line onto the reel. This will prevent alot of the line twist that occurs when spooling line.

Always try to keep some tension on the line. Also when you did get it put on spray it with Reel Magic it will hlep. You can also let it out as you driving a boat with a swivel only on the line and it will help remove the twist(not fast, just medium speed). You can also take the line and tie it to a tree and pull out more than a normal cast and pull it semi tight. The whole issue is it's memory so the Reel Magic and these other tips(including MIke on flipping the spool) can help. But I will say I have NEVER been able to keep mono from giving some line twist. The reel magic being sprayed often does help. One last tip is to put the spool in WARM water for a little while before spooling up, it can make a big difference also.

Loops can be a different problem than twist. The above advice is good; I just want to add that, with spinning, you should be using a limp, easy-to-handle line. Two such lines that come to mind are Trilene XL and Original Stren. There are a number of lines that are unsuitable for spinning reels.
