JackL, Cajun, Whoever....Help
Went out Sat & tried to start my 9.9 Merc. The pull cord wouldn't pull, although I could pull it out gradually, but not enough to start the engine. I don't think it's seized, but it could be, after I towed a guy last week. When I pull out the cord I can see one of those circular clips with teeth around the inside circumference with the rope through it. Looks like the kind you would work up on a thread to hold something in place. It had to dislodge from something.
Before I take off the cowl & start monkeying with it, has anyone got any tips or should I take it right to the repair shop? I know I have to disconnect the plug wires first. Thanx in advance, guys. |
