Default Night fishing

so ive heard alot of good things about fishing for bass at night.. well i went out today and didnt get a hit. i tried using a topwater lure and both a carolina rig and texas rig with dark and light colored worms. has anyone ever tried this and am i doin anything wrong?

dark lures and worms work best at night because fish see dark better at night.

The fish should be shallow at night.I agree with the other posters.Noisy,dark colored lures are good.Surprisingly,A worm is an excellent night lure.Try fishing on a moon-lit night.

no matter what the water color yada yada yada.....one lure...is all you need...BIG [glow=black,2,300]BLACK[/glow]jitterbug!!!!!! fish themnear any cover/structure.......reel in some then pause for about 30seconds.....keep doing this.....good luck.

Well if it was cool or cloudy during the day they probably had already fed and didn't come out to feed again during the night. Or if you got any bug spray on your lure you won't catch anything. Bass are repelled by the sent. Also a steady retrieve is generally better than an erratic one because bass use their lateral line to home in on the lure.

the pond i usually fish at is pretty stagnet so it get covered in algae alot. does anyone know any ways of getting around it because it angers me to no end when i flip a jig right into a big pile of it
