Default ever heard of this bait?

my wife and i have permission to fish three farm ponds one of which is so grassy that you can't hardly fish the damn thing...last week a guy i know fished the same pond and caught a helluva stringer of bass. about fifteen of them and most around three pounds. we were talking about how grassy this pond is and he said they caught them on twin spins. i have bass fished my whole life and never heard of such a critter. is it for real or was he calling another bait by the wrong name?

I seem to remember a lure named a twin spin-it is a spinnerbait with a V shaped arm with a spinnerbait blade on each arm. I think.

A twin spin is a spinnerbait with double pivoting arms and small Indiana or Colorado blades with a banana shaped head. One of the earliest spinnerbait styles,it is especially efective when retrieved over submerged weedbeds or across laydown logs. The small blades resist clogging with grass, while the banana shaped head and pivoting arms help the lure slide over hard cover.

Sorry I couldn't find a link.

Try a Hildebrandt snagless Sally lure. I can't remember who made the twin spin. P N J

The original lure was called a Shannon Twin Spin.....I have a couple, but don't have the box to indicate the maker, which I am assuming is a company named Shannon. Â*Double arms in a V is correct....one Colorado on each arm, the ones I have are made with bucktail bodies, one red, one brown. Â*Each blade is stamped with small lettering reading "made in USA" and below that in a curved lettering pattern is the word "SHANNON"

The wire arms are about an inch long, the entire lure is 3.5 inches and the blades are a tad over 3/4 inch. Â*The blades are close to being Colorado, just a bit more teardrop in shapAs the hook rides up and is covered by a rather full bucktail skirt, it could be quite weedless in a certain type of weed.

AS stated before, the twin spins I have on buzz baits, the prop on the left turns clockwise, the one on the right goes counterclockwise for a super slow presentation...bad thing is , it takes up a lot of room in my spinnerbait compartment, I used to carry a seperate box just for spinnerbaits, but its just one more thing to carrry or lose on the boat, so I took out the top area of my Plano and have about 60- on hangers on partitions
