Re: Catfishing tip
Yes,
It is primarily a bass fishing site, but come on, fishing is fishing and we are all having fun. If someone wants to post something on catfish, then so what. I enjoy catfishing myself, and didn't mind reading his post. A fisherman is a fisherman, whether you fish for bass, catfish, bream, pike, walley, or whatever. We all share a common bond as fisherman. I personally encourage people to post about different species. It is a way for us to learn about fishing for different species, and a way for me to learn about different regions of the U.S. and whats biting there. My main target 95% of the time is bass, but thats not the only fish out there. I love to take my nephews fishing for bluegills, and catfish, but should I not post anything about that? Good fishing to everyone. |

Re: Catfishing tip
I'm curious to know how much Kevin charges everyone when someone goes off the topic "Bass Fishing" with a post? I've never gotten a bill for my share of the load, and I want to help out.
I can understand the fustration though. When I saw this post titled "Catfishing Tip" I figured it was about nude women, or something. I had no idea it was actually about catfishing. Figure that. |

Re: Catfishing tip
Nothing beats hot dogs for catching big catties. Make sure to use ones with skin casing and cut tounge like slices not circle cuts. more like a bevel cut.. works well,
channels bite this more often then liver which is considered the top bit. |

Re: Catfishing tip
I've never seen a catfish...I have to cats and they always see me riggin my poles and they show no interest, but I'd pay money to see it hurl a carolina rig 300yds.

Re: Catfishing tip
ive had lots of luck off of chicken liver. also i have had some good luck during the day off of small crappie type lures haha!! lures are hard to keep on the hook though, so take a decent sized tub of them, especially if the sunnies are biting. P.S. also have had luck off of shiners

Re: Catfishing tip
in my topic above i meant livers are hard to keep on the hook. sorry bout that, i heard from some guy at the lake that if you put a chicken lure in a little egg bag thing that they last a lot longer, never tried it though
