Default ide really suggest using yammamotos over knock off

man ive been having more luck on yamamoto senkos then any other knock off beating it 3 to 1 none of my bass even hit on retrieve only on deadsticking and they were tearing them up im using there watermelon candy like one with chart. dipped tail and another laminate dont know what color it is if ur walmart is selling senkos ide pick up one pack to compare for urself i know that many people are more confident in tiki sticks and all not to mention senkos high price tag and easily torn but in my humble opinion they kick ***

I have to agree with you. Same results for me last year. Except one time when they would only hit a 10 inch power worm. Sometimes Dick's throws senkos in the discount bin when it is a color that doesn't sell. Case worms have done well for me also but not as good as senkos.

I have more confidence in the Yamamotos. I just haven't had the success with knockoffs but all that i have tried are tiki's. Yeah, they are more expensive but I think it's worth the extra money to catch more fish. I don't know for sure if the higher catch rate is because of a better product, or more confidence in the senko but I can't argue with the result.

Yeah slu-gos are really good, but they are quite a bit different from senkos.

Yes, the Slug-Go dates back to '87 or '88. Not sure when the Senko hit the market, but I don't think they became real well-known until about 2000.

I never used Slug-Gos, but I did start using one of the early knockoffs, the Mr. Twister Slimy Slug, back in 1992, and had good success with it.
