color of new slash baits?
Being somewhat color blind I cannot find the color of the new Rapala slash baits. I can tell some but not all. Is there a way to tell the colors? I looked on the boxes but can't seem to locate any information about the color. Any help with this please.

zooker when you say "the white ones" are you refering to the color of the teaser tail or the color of the body itself. Thanks

Re: color of new slash baits?
body of the baits . i don't like the small hooks on the fresh water version they have. so i will stick with the salt water version with out the teaser. yep 2 versions salt water has #2 stainless steel hooks where the fresh water has #4 so let me ask you what would you rather have?

The name of the colors of the new X RAPS/slashbaits are on the back on the very bottom. They are all marked. Ghost Minnow is the white one.

Re: color of new slash baits?
I found the color panel on the box. First one was a Christmas present. My girlfriend must of pulled it off. Went to Gander MT. and checked boxes. I'm guessing floro would be a correct line choice since these are suspending lures? Or is there a better choice line? One other question. Should I tie line directly to the bait or use a swivel or snap for best results? Thanks

Re: color of new slash baits?
I'd tie it directly to the split ring. To me it works alot better than just to the line eye.

Re: color of new slash baits?
imo snap swivel it lets the bait move a tad better. it moves about as close as any bait does to a fluke.

Re: color of new slash baits?
Try a Norman Speedclip, after removing the split-ring from the front of the bait. Keeps the weight about the same and you don't have to worry about the knot ending up in the wrong place.

zooker Â*[/quote] Well it's not too often I agree with the big man but, today he's right . you want that little movement on the bait. it will find the center point on the bait and take any tension from a snag or lunker your dragging in. Where a tie on on the bait it's self is more prone to snap. Robby. |
