Default Lake Erie Smallmouth

Does anybody fish for lake erie smallmouth? Does anybody have any tips on catching these 5+ pounders? Any tips or suggestions will be accepted greatly. I am fishing from Sandusky and Port Clintion Area Piers.

goby colored tubes on main lake rock piles.....I don't know where they are, but I know that's what to do
