No she was alive and well when I threw her back! What happens with too much line on the spool? And about what weight would you estimate that?

Why do you say that JB? It looks to me like he has just enough line on it not to be too much.
Chris when a spinning reel has too much line on it the line will pop off too easily resulting in knots when you cast. I would estimate your bass at about 2lbs. |

Most are 5 limit, however on certain lakes and in dif states the limits can be dif. for example ohio a bass has to be 12 inches to keep in a tourney,
in Ind. it has to be 14. Some lakes have slots, you can take a fish out if its between 14 and 17, the rest you have to throw back, as an example |
